YWLN-Supported Activities:
YWLN develops partnerships and provides resources and direct support services to students and staff. Our work focuses on four priority areas: College Preparation, Math, Science and Technology, Leadership and Female Adolescent Development. A full-time CollegeBound Initiative (CBI) counselor works with girls beginning with the first 10th grade (in September 2012) to build early college awareness and help students achieve their highest educational potential. We also support new program initiatives, summer programs, after school programs and special events like career days, leadership lectures and more. YWLN supports its teachers and principals by providing professional development, teacher grants, and leadership support.
